Abnormal Loads
An abnormal load is widely seen as a load that cannot fit in a curtain sided trailer. This could be due to the width of the abnormal load, the height of the load or the weight of the load.
Officially an abnormal load is one that would be above a width of 2.5 metres, over 4 metres in height or over the weight limit for the particular country it needs to travel through (for example 44 tonnes in the UK or 40 tonnes in France).
Different trailers can be used depending on the height and weight of the load, and these vary in cost. Many abnormal loads will fit on our semi low loaders, which offer much better value than low loader hire. Examples of abnormal loads would include tractors, turbines and motorhomes.
