Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) Programme
Who is the course for?
Accidents associated with goods vehicles badly damage the image of our industry. Managers and drivers have a responsibility to ensure that they take a professional approach to maintaining and improving safe standards, to ensure that risk to people is eliminated and that the industry is portrayed positively. An investment in the continual development of safe driving skills is a major area where improvements can be realised.
With ever increasing fuel prices, operators that actively implement a fuel management programme can easily make significant cost savings thus leading to increased profits.
It has been proven that the main contributor to efficient fuel consumption is the education and training of drivers and that a return on any training investment can easily be achieved in a very short period.

Delivery
This is a 1-day course delivered in-company.
All instructors are qualified to teach the principles of safe and fuel efficient driving. Each course can accommodate a maximum of two trainees to each instructor, depending on number of seats in the vehicle, and our recommendation is that the company uses the vehicle that the driver is familiar with, however, a vehicle can be supplied if necessary.
The Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving programme can be customised to closely meet the needs of your business. By aligning the programme to deliver against company KPIs the measured rewards will be much more transparent.
