Who is the course for?

Suitable for logistics employees and those engaged in transport management. In order to run and operate goods vehicles the managers must have a certificate of professional competence. 

You will need a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy plus a knowledge of the road haulage industry at supervisory or management level.

Course Outline

This course will give you all the preparation you need to prove “professional competence” and successfully take the Certificate Of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (CPC) qualification.

The course explores the key pieces of contract, company, social and fiscal legislation that your business must observe in order to operate within the law. The course also covers the practical aspects of managing a road haulage business - from ensuring that you have sufficient funds to trade to preparing a realistic business budget.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, you will be fully prepared for formal assessment in the exams;

  • The Certificate of Professional Competence in National / International Road Haulage Operations

Delivery

The course lasts for 10 days. Candidates must sit a series of examinations, and will receive a certificate for each module they pass. Once the required combination of modules has been achieved, a full certificate will be issued by OCR.
